„OKAPI OKAPI“ that’s Max Arsava, Jonas Sorgenfrei, Sebastian Birner and Sara Wittazscheck – 4 young musicians who met while studying at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg. Originally, the quartet formed to compete in the annual conservatory competition and achieved third place in this endeavor. Now the formation persisted beyond that moment and has been playing their own arrangements and the singer’s compositions ever since.
The unusual line-up of two keyboard instruments, percussion and vocals characterizes a versatile sound that unfolds new soundscapes and spans the spectrum from comfortable catchiness to experimental Jazz.
Lyrics
She‘s a twenty-something and she feels old.
Her life is running smoothly, all she wants is to change tracks.
A little saboteur sunken deep in her basic trust in fate
there he sits and dangles his legs and laughs up his sleeve
„Ey girl,” he says, “you could be a better version of yourself.
Your body needs to change, everybody‘s self-assured but you.
Look around you: all these inspired people…
They discourage you – where is your fire now?”
Your inner judge has no lenience
At night she walks the streets
On her own with her whirling thoughts
Not alone with these doubts of time
I know the beauty in her soul.
Novemberlight turns the world a deep blue
While new hope brightens up her mind.

Lyrics
Una mattina mi son svegliato
O bella, ciao! bella, ciao! bella, ciao, ciao, ciao!
Una mattina mi son svegliato,
E ho trovato l’invasor.
O partigiano, portami via,
O bella, ciao! bella, ciao! bella, ciao, ciao, ciao!
O partigiano, portami via,
Ché mi sento di morir.
E se io muoio da partigiano,
O bella, ciao! bella, ciao! bella, ciao, ciao, ciao!
E se io muoio da partigiano,
Tu mi devi seppellir.
E seppellire lassù in montagna,
O bella, ciao! bella, ciao! bella, ciao, ciao, ciao!
E seppellire lassù in montagna,
Sotto l’ombra di un bel fior.
Tutte le genti che passeranno,
O bella, ciao! bella, ciao! bella, ciao, ciao, ciao!
Tutte le genti che passeranno,
Mi diranno Che bel fior!
È questo il fiore del partigiano,
O bella, ciao! bella, ciao! bella, ciao, ciao, ciao!
È questo il fiore del partigiano,
Morto per la libertà!
